The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones has been filming since October 2017, and at this stage, everybody must surely be tired of waiting. It’s unlikely that any of us patient (or impatient) fans are anywhere near ready for the filming to wrap as the unfortunate cast is, considering they just filmed a battle scene for fifty-five consecutive nights in three different locations.
The producers thanked the cast and crew, whom they refer to as ‘Night Dragons’ in a note shared and later deleted on Twitter by assistant director Jonathan Quinlan. He originally captioned the post:
Says it all. 55 consecutive nights. 11 weeks. 3 locations. You’ll never again see anything like it.
