Elton John is having a pretty eventful year. He’s currently on his farewell tour and his new biographical film Rocketman hits theaters this summer. Now, the megastar musician is setting the record straight with a new autobiography.
John took to Twitter to announce a new autobiography he is writing set to be released in October. Though the title and cover of the book have yet to be announced, it is already available for pre-order. The book will be published by Henry Holt & Co.
My life has been one helluva roller coaster ride and I’m now ready to tell you my story, in my own words. My first and only official autobiography will be released October 2019.

There have been several books written about Elton John’s life, including one written by him about the friends he lost during the AIDS crisis, but this will be the first official autobiography written by him. In the announcement, John stated that he excited for the book to come out because “It’s the truth, and so many books that have been written about me haven’t exactly been truthful.”
