Elon Musk, the guru of tech advances, has become the prophet we didn’t deserve, but rather need. In the wake of new advances in A.I. technology, he offers several warnings, and now a bible about humanity in the age of artificial intelligence.
After word on Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s own A.I. troubles, people have become increasingly fascinated with and scared of what the future holds for A.I. In an article in Forbes, it was announced:
“Facebook shut down an artificial intelligence engine after developers discovered that the AI had created its own unique language that humans can’t understand.”
Musk has been warning about this possibility, and other things of which we should be wary. In a tweet, Musk says “Worth reading Life 3.0 by @Tegmark. A.I. will be the best or worst thing ever for humanity, so let’s get it right.”
While A.I. would go to make life a great deal easier, being able to do things like communicating and essentially become servants, there is a greater risk than pay off if something goes wrong. Musk believes that humans can be seen as a waste of resources, or as a threat altogether.

In a rapidly advancing world, we wonder if these robots will become part of a post-apocalyptic dialogue, or if they will become more as amenities in the future like a sci fi. It’s clear that Musk thinks this book bears the answers and even poses some questions that would have otherwise gone unasked.
