The 20th anniversary of the publishing of the first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in the US has just passed and what better way to celebrate it than to have Eddie Redmayne, adventurous magizoologist Newt Scamander in the Fantastic Beasts film series to read his favorite line in the first book in this video.
He includes how his favorite passage in the book is the very beginning when Harry first arrives as a baby to Privet Drive. Redmayne reads the passage in a way that reminds Potter fans how uniquely amazing this book series is and how as fans we never felt the need to put a book down but to only the need to read the next chapter in Harry’s story.

This wonderful franchise has grown beyond just the seven-book series especially with the Fantastic Beasts film prequel series centered on the pre-Voldemort era of the Wizarding World. The latest installment, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald centers around Newt Scamander joining a younger Albus Dumbledore to stop the diabolical plans of dark wizard, Gellert Grindelwald.
We can’t wait for the film to be released November 16, 2018, so I can find out more information about Newt’s journey with his friends Tina, Queenie and Jacob as they try to defeat Grindelwald. I also wonder what other new characters there will be and how old characters such as a Dumbledore will act as a younger version of the one the fans so lovingly know. I guess we’ll have to wait until November to see where the story before the time of “The Boy Who Lived” takes us.
