Denzel Washington Visits His Childhood Librarian

To promote his new film, “Fences”, Denzel Washington has been traveling around the country. He took time to visit his childhood librarian for her 99th birthday. Miss. Connie, who is retired, fondly remembers when Washington came into the Mount Vernon library at around 7 years old to ask for a book.

Living across from the library, Washington often visited and said hello to Miss. Connie. Now, in an assisted living home, with help from friends and workers, Miss. Connie’s Youtube video remembering Washington went viral.

As a result of the video, Washington called Connie, then visited her!

 Real tears.
