‘Cursed Child’ Is Making Its Way to Broadway

The producers of the award winning play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, are currently in talks to bring it to New York City on Broadway. Producers, Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender, plan to renovate The Lyric Theater from 1900 seats to 1500 to create a more intimate space. The adjustment will cost millions and take almost a year.

The two-part play premiered in London on July 9th and is expected to come to Broadway in 2018. It hasn’t been confirmed whether or not the original actors will make the journey across the sea, but we do know that writers J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and director John Tiffany are “very, very happy.”
