In the final weeks of New York Comic Con, IDW Publishing announced that they would be releasing a graphic novel centered around John Lennon’s life in New York, entitled: Lennon: The New York Years. The source material comes from a 2010 novel of the same name, by French author, David Foenkinos, in which he imagines conversations between the singer and a therapist.

According to the press release:
The graphic novel follows the extraordinary trajectory of the iconic singer/songwriter – from his difficult childhood, through Beatlemania, to his solo career. In his novel, Foenkinos imagined and transcribed the artist’s sessions on his therapist’s couch. Lennon reads like a classic autobiography, with the star as narrator.
The novel will also explore Lennon’s famous relationship with Yoko Ono, who still lives just minutes from Strawberry Fields.
