Thrillerfest is the annual conference of the International Thriller Writers, and is open to the public. You can expect numerous panels hosted by and featuring your favorite thriller writers, as well as workshops like the ATF workshop, Master CraftFest and CraftFest, or you can take your unpublished manuscript to PitchFest, and pitch it to publishers and agents! Check out some of the highlights below!
This workshop will be hosted by Special Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Explosives and Firearms, who will discuss their careers on the frontlines, investigating firearms trafficking, arson, explosives trafficking and more! Check out the full schedule here!
Join a stellar group of teachers on Tuesday July 10, 2018 at ITW’s Master CraftFest, a hands-on workshop for writers of all levels. It’s an intense but extremely helpful day. Each class, which is limited to ten students, will allow you to work with a bestselling author on your manuscript in progress.
Our instructors this year include: Steve Berry, Grant Blackwood, David Corbett, Robert Dugoni, Meg Gardiner, Andrew Gross, Steven James, D.P. Lyle, Gayle Lynds, Donald Maass and F. Paul Wilson.
The original vision of CraftFest and Master CraftFest was to create exceptional, one-of a-kind schools for teaching the craft of thriller writing. Our mission was to provide students with the tools needed to take their writing to the next level and to help each reach their individual career goals. For over a decade now we have worked to fulfill this vision. 2017 was yet again a great success. Now, we are preparing our 2018 line up of teachers and classes.
As always, CraftFest will have 4 tracks that will run all day Wednesday July 11th and for two hours on the morning of Thursday July 12th. Many of your favorites will return and other exceptional teachers will be added as we continue to evolve and improve.
PitchFest is designed to put authors and agents together for the purpose of pitching projects. This will be an unprecedented opportunity for those writers looking to get or change agents. And where better to have this event than in the heart of publishing, New York City?
PitchFest is set up like a speed-dating event. You pitch your novel to an agent for a few minutes, get the agent’s reaction, and then move on to a different agent.
Check out the full schedule here! And don’t miss your chance to win tickets to Thrillerfest valued at $450, front row seats to George RR Martin, and meet him after his panel!
