I’m not crying, you’re crying. Deadline reports today that Chris Evans is nearing a deal that would see him return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! The details surrounding his possible return are vague, but it is rumored that audiences would see Evans return as Steve Rogers/Captain America in at least one Marvel property with the possibility for a second appearance.
Deadline reports that “it’s unlikely to be a new Captain America installment and more likely to be like what Robert Downey Jr. did after Iron Man 3, appearing in films like Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming.”
Evans has previously been very public with his intention to hang up the shield after filming on Avengers: Endgame wrapped.
Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.

Evans made his first appearance as Captain America in the 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger. He would later go on to play the character in a full Captain America trilogy and four Avengers films, along with making cameo appearances in two other films.
With Marvel taking their world domination a step further by now branching out into television, it only adds to the possible avenues for Evans to make his anticipated return, either in a feature film or an original Disney+ series. However it may happen, we can only hope for another moment like this…
I’ll just leave this here… You’re welcome.
