Stephen King

Can You Spot Over 100 Stephen King References In This Poster?

Going to the dentist as a kid, the only good part was reading through the Highlights Magazines and trying to find all the hidden objects in the picture search. I thought I was a real pro at finding scattered images, but now I’m struggling a bit. And it’s all Stephen King’s fault.

Gizmodo has blessed all bookworms, King aficionados, and those with a sharp eye by posting some amazing horror artwork. Jordan Monsell is the creator of the vivid, quirky, and crowded poster that he named “King’s Country.” It’s basically an explosion of references King’s books and film adaptations. Monsterpalooza will take place in California this month, and this is where the poster will debut on sale.

There are 170 references to the King of horror’s work. No, I am not kidding. Yes, I am struggling to spot and name them all. Check it out.

Of course it’s jam-packed with King’s famous characters, but Monsell is said to have influences from both artists such as Hieronymus and Pieter Bruegel to create that Gothic touch. So far I’ve got about four, but if you give up, here’s a little help.
