Why did you start your Bookstagram?

I came to know about the bookstagram community after an impulsive book box purchase. I loved books and photography, so it was a no-brainer.

Where are you from?

I’m from India (and yes, it’s in Asia!)

What do you want your Instagram to bring to the world?

I want people to be encouraged to pick up a book(it can be any genre) and for them to know that reading can be fun and educational.

Advice for aspiring Bookstagrammers:

How do you start a bookstagram? If you have books or have a library nearby then start taking photos and (mini-)review them. Place the book on your desk or your bed with a cup of coffee(somewhere with good lighting) and voilà, you have your photo! Follow bookstagrammers whose photos or reviews you love, comment on their posts, and don’t be afraid to ask for their advice. In fact, there are many blog posts on how to create a bookstagram available for free!

Additional bookishness:

I love rereading books and collecting bookish mugs, candles, wearables! I also love the idea of owning multiple editions of my favorite books, and dream of opening a book box company to support BIPOC authors and creators.
