So without furthor ado, we are excited to share more about Janna and her bookstagram inspiration.

Why did you start your Bookstagram?

I think I started my bookstagram account back in 2015 and I was on hiatus for quite some time. Now I can proudly say that I am back to the bookish world and blogging since October 2019.

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in the Philippines and we migrated here in Australia last 2016.

What do you want your Instagram to bring to the world?

I want to inspire my fellow full time working moms that despite having a career and looking after our children, we can still do things that we are passionate about.

Fun Fact about you?

I am not sure if this is fun but I love wearing pyjamas all day during my days off from work.

Favorite Bookstagrammers?

Favorite Books and Authors:

I am a big JK Rowling and Sarah J. Maas fan for fantasy books. Harry Potter books are the main one on my list then next will be A Court of Thorns and Roses and Throne of Glass series. For contemporary books, my go-to authors are Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher which I both met back home when they did their CTC in PH tour.

TBR List:

I have a never ending TBR list but my urgent ones will be the Disney Twisted Tales which I have yet to review on my blog.

What’s Your Special Approach to Content?

I am more of the bubbly type so I just ask anything under the sun whenever I post on Instagram. I also answer back to comments (all of them) because I am interested to know what my fellow bookstagrammers think about a specific topic that I brought up. My reviews are all unbiased and on point. I provide honest reviews and share my thoughts in a professional and respectful manner.

Aesthetic / Instagram page theme:

I love the autumn and winter theme and lately I am more into cozy vibes with succulents.

How often do you post?

I used to post once a day then it became twice a day and now it is thrice a day. It actually depends on my mood but usually they will be more than 7 hours apart from each other.

What does your Bookstagram mean to you?

My Bookstagram account is my means to express the other side of me. People who know me personally will think that I am Janna, a mother of two, a wife, and a registered nurse. There is more to me than these three aspects of my life Bookstagram is my creative space.

Favorite Bookstore:

I usually order my books online so it will either be Book Depository or Booktopia. I rarely buy books unless the special editions.

Can the publishers supply me with a lifetime of books please? Haha!

Author to take a selfie with:

Favorite book cover:

My Minalima edition of the Classic Fairy Tales.

Book you have claimed to have read that you didn’t:

I am really honest with my posts on Instagram so nope I do not tell people that I have read a book if I really did not.

When did you know you had made it as a Bookstagrammer?

When I reached 10,000 followers because of the swipe up option when posting on my stories. Haha! I know this is shallow but it was an awesome feeling.

Favorite fandoms:

Harry Potter. Fact: I have a Pottergram account which is Hogwarts.Mom

Advice for aspiring Bookstagrammers:

Be honest with your reviews.

Post consistently.

Have a specific theme for aesthetic purposes.

Enjoy and do not put too much pressure on yourself.

Additional bookishness:

I love collecting bookmarks, fandom soy candles, enamel pins, and stickers.
