Bookish Tweets To Get You Through Finals Week

Bookish Tweets To Get You Through The Rest Of Online Finals

Hey, all you bookish tweeters, big or small, virtual graduates or school-ongoers… Whichever group you may fall into, and whether you’re completely done with online finals and final papers yet (a feat I had actually just accomplished!), then you all deserve you big, hearty pat on the back – virtually though because… you know.

To celebrate all your hard work, here are all the bookish tweets that you more than deserved to get from me last week but didn’t get to because I had my own final papers to worry about! But you have me now, so now you can have all of these delicious tweet goodies…

It’s Not What You Did, It’s How You Say You Did

Need something to say about how your weekend went, even though you did absolutely nothing that is of note? Try one of these nifty and archaic responses…

To quote the brilliant Cogsworth in my favorite (as it is bookish) Disney movie, if it’s Baroque, don’t fix it! In fact, there happens to be someone waiting in the wings (get it ‘cause it’s Twitter?) of the comment section that has been dying to use this fancy and lengthy remark…

Luckily, there were even more Shakespeare sayings to dish out. Here are a few that are meme-worthy…

There’s nothing wrong with strengthening your 16th-century vocabulary!

The Price of Love = Certain Death

When you are someone who dies on the battlefield in Troy but are still fortunate and special enough to get a backstory of your life…

Though this doesn’t always apply to just the Greek and Roman epics: they can be found anywhere…

You know what’s coming if you learn more about a certain character’s life that you haven’t beforehand. (Case in point: Severus Snape.) You gotta love/hate that status quo in fiction in general… though in the end, it would all be worth it, as this appreciation reply tweet expresses…

Muses, sing of countless character backstories and their countless deaths, to be celebrated with countless memories…

My Type Of Guy

Personally, I’m for the nerdy type of guy, but when he leaves a room to have an anxiety attack…

…now that is HOT.

The Perfect Disguise

How to get away with tricking all your loved ones into thinking you’re a completely different person with little to no cover-up and with just any old cap lying around? Try this on for size…

Genius! You must be a professor with a hat that prestigious, and you don’t even need a blazer or certified credentials!

The Perfect Blend Of Mixed Emotions

How do you properly greet someone you have conflicted feelings about? Send them this…

Perfect for someone – or even something – that brings out the best and worst in you…

When Your Physical Supply Is Out

Remember all the Penguin Random House #BookHacks vids (from the season one series) I used to post in my tweets pieces? Well now, PRH came out with season two! Watch below if you want more info on how to keep reading even when you’re low on physical copies of books…

While I can wait for more physical copies – as I always have plenty of them to work through – eBooks are great too when you want to get your hands on something to read last minute. It’s the bookish gift that keeps on giving…

The Never-Ending Struggle

Feeling down? Tired of all the drama you put up with from everyone you meet?

Or maybe it’s just that huge rock you have to roll up the hill every single day for all of eternity. Don’t worry: I won’t judge.

I think everyone who just had online finals and papers to do can relate to this one. I know I do! It feels like a never-ending struggle, right? Well, fortunately unlike Sisyphus’s struggle, this one does have an end – at least to this semester, before it all starts up again in the next semester.

To lift your spirits, here’s a fun little tweet from someone in response to that…

I guess he did.

Lastly, have this be a reminder to always be mindful of giving back to your local bookstores and your bookish community!

Because every little bit helps…
