Bookish Tweets To Cheer Up Your Friday The 13th, Chapter Two

Well, well, well: we meet again, my bookish tweeters! You should know that I would ask this – and not just because this is my first bookish tweets-piece since the beginning of November: how was your (COVID) Halloween?

I may have been a bit MIA on the tweets-pieces, but I am back, here to bring a whole sack and a lot more some from the past two weeks of bookish cheer – and on the second Friday the 13th of the year too! Hence why I decided to add a second part to my first aptly-named piece earlier this year back in March (a.k.a. a very distant past life ago), which you can read right here!

Anyway, with all that out of the way, let’s get on to it before the holiday music starts when we’re not even past Thanksgiving yet… (And I’m sure you feel the same way!)

Oh, and be sure to spot all thirteen tweets and make it all the way to the end!

The Seer Of Bad News

Have you ever sent out an email to someone, and this happens to you?

I guess some people don’t know how to handle bad news…

You Really Want To Know?

There are just some things you know best to leave alone: like when someone is in a bad mood…

Try asking that back at Hamlet!

The Bird At Hand

Let’s take a moment to hear this important announcement from Prometheus…

Yeah, I hear you, Promy. Here’s what should be done about this: I’ll track down this liver-stealer and you can… well, you can just wait here until I get to the bottom of this!

Relatable Dreamer

I’m sure you remember from one of my previous tweets-pieces that I mentioned a certain literary character who you just couldn’t help but relate to almost immediately, but I just so happened to recall this character as well…

See? The parallels are so uncanny… Are you sure you’re not living Dr. Frankenstein’s life?

The Answer Is…

You know those kinds of guys that just can’t seem to take a hint, even after you’ve made yourself as crystal clear as can be?

To quote a certain badass character from a show I love: “It’s called consent!” You got it, Darcy?

What Tragedy Will You Write?

Some may say that being alone for the rest of your life would be a tragedy, but I beg to differ: it can mean different things for different people, yet this may be the biggest one of them all…

I don’t know about you, but as an introvert, I certainly would not like a whole crowd following me wherever I go and telling me and everyone else all my mistakes and problems every single second of the day… but I think they already know that from personal experience…

I guess I’m not alone after all in my struggle and isolation, so at least there’s somewhat good company with me.

The Sound Of Thudding

You know you’re going crazy when you’re hearing things that everyone else doesn’t hear, so now every time you hear that sound, you’re just reminded of how alone you are…

“Hello heartbeat, my old friend… I’ve come to talk with you again…”

I’m sure you can fill in the rest…

Call Me by Another Name: Hamlet Edition

You may recall a tweet about all the rejected titles for F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, right? Well, this time around, we have found a whole list of rejected titles for Shakespeare’s Hamlet! Let’s take a look at them now…

I mean, I can see why Shakespeare stuck with just Hamlet for the name: it’s short, sweet, and named after the main(ish) character of the play. But still, I had a handful of opportunities to choose from, and Shakespeare missed them all!

Terms Of Endearment

If you are or have ever been in a relationship, you and you SO have probably said a lot of sweet things to each other, such as “honey,” “babe” or “sweetheart,” among many others. Well, have you tried these adorable nicknames?

Test them out, and see them work wonders on increasing the intimacy between you two…

Oh So Lemony Fresh…

You are most likely aware of all the tweets containing images comparing how we first wanted the year to go versus what we actually got? Well…

If you have been following along with these tweets-pieces, you know that this is not the first we dished out, and it may certainly not be the last…

But don’t fret: at least one good thing came out of this year. Now, if only one of Lemony Snicket’s books had a rather hopeful title before the very end…

Love Of A Lifetime

Have you ever found a love so strong you almost can’t believe you have it? Even this strong?

I mean, that’s the dream, right?!

Special Delivery

You know that feeling when special letter/package you’ve been waiting days for finally arrives?

I’ll bet that your excitement can’t top theirs!

And now, a special tweet that I can’t help but share…

Gimme That Vintage!

Check out this bookish beauty…

Isn’t it absolutely gorgeous? Now, if only I can get myself one that is ten feet tall and comes in multiples of five or seven… This way, I can give my own bookshelves a break!

Did you catch all thirteen tweets? Which one was your favorite on this: the second Friday the 13th of the year?
