Bookish Tweets To Get You Through Labor Day

Bookish Tweets To Celebrate Labor Day!

Happy Labor Day, my fellow bookish tweeters! Even though we only have another two weeks until the start of fall, today marks the day when our supposed summertime’s worth of play has come to an end… or at the least the day that commemorates the American labor movement, celebrating all the hard work we and our ancestors before us have done for this country. So, to-MAY-to, to-MAH-to: same day, two different variations in meaning.

Whether you have taken the day off – because either your job allowed you to or you allowed yourself to and for good reason – or have decided to do some serious work of your own since “labor” is in the title of this holiday after all, then you chose the right thing to stop by this piece, either as an extra treat on your day-off or just as a breather in-between tasks of your self-chosen labor, because these tweets will surely make the most of your time for a day like today! Enjoy…

To Laugh Or Not To Laugh?

Have you ever had to deal with a rude person – or at least someone who exhibits inappropriate behavior at a time that didn’t call for such behavior? Well, no matter who you may be thinking of, you probably didn’t have to deal with someone as rude as this person…

See? Rude.

The Things You Do For Love

Sometimes, you do things for others you couldn’t imagine yourself doing not because you want to do, but because you have to, even during a time when it may not seem likely to be the perfect time to do them…

…but it’s all in your best interest to secure the safety and protection of others after all!

That’s The Dream For You!

If you have enough of the classic novels you were supposed to have read in high school, you probably have learned all about the concept of the American Dream, and how certain characters in classic lit have tried to live up to this seemingly impossible ideal but have failed in doing so, right? Well, when it comes to the American Dream, have you ever thought of it like this…?

Because this is the kind of dream that can do no wrong if it only propels you forward in achieving American success and security!

All In The Name Of Love (Not?)

You all know the saying: love can make you do crazy things… but there is always a line drawn somewhere, right? There have to be certain things that we can never think of doing…

…that is, if you’re even thinking at all, but that’s just it: when you’re in love, you can’t even think straight!

Women, You Can Do It (Better)!

For all the ladies out there, young and old: don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do anything just as good as a man can, especially when that man can’t even do that right…

When you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself, especially when your spouse can’t do it in full and even when it’s in the best interest of both of you.

An Ode To The Lost (And Found?)

Take a moment to reflect on all the ones we have lost along the way, especially the ones in your own life who you know will have a great impact on you but you choose others over first…

Needless to say, all of us booklovers – emphasis on lovers – have to make room for other books, even if the books we already have on our dusty shelves have to remain there unread – for now

It’s The End Of The Email As We Know It (And I Don’t Feel Fine)

Want even more tips on how to interestingly sign off at the end of an email? Here’s a fresh and unique example for you…

We may have covered similar tweets beforehand, but you can never run out of new ways to hook your online correspondents!

Congrats: you’ve made it to the end of this Labor Day bookish tweets piece! Now, as a little treat, I bestow upon you this colorful bookish pic, tweeted by the one and only Judy Blume…
