Bookish Tweets For The Date Of Multiples Of 10, Chapter One

Well, my bookish tweeters, we’ve made it to about two-thirds of the way into the month! It felt like so long ago since I released my first tweets piece of the month at about the very start of the month – as in way longer than nearly three weeks ago…

Anyway, you’re in for a treat – as opposed to a trick (just saying) – for both this week and next: as you could probably tell by the piece’s title, I’m splitting up the last tweets within the last few weeks of the month into specialized pieces, since there wasn’t a bookish tweets piece out on Friday last week, and both today and the very next Friday happen to be special dates in terms of numbers – 10/20/2020 and 10/30/2020. That’s crazy, right?!

Plus, each of these pieces, filled to the brim of the past week’s tweets, is also making up for the tweets from half of the previous week, so that means you get a few extra tweet-treats at the end of each piece once you make it all the way through!

Anyway, enough dawdling around: let’s get on to it…

Cropping Out The Cream Of The Crop

You know that feeling when you and your group are trying to make an important decision and eventually have a general agreement, until one different thinker speaks out against the crowd…

I mean, he’s not wrong; you all wanna get off the island, right? Oh no, now they’re onto me

The Truth Will Set You Free – And Heal You

It’s always important to take care of yourself first and foremost before having to take care of others, especially when what’s stressing you out is the other person – after they had died…

We’ve all been here before: we told a lie to get out of trouble, but overtime, the guilt of knowing what really happened was too much to bear to the point where you had to blurt it out to set yourself at ease, or else you would go completely insane. This might be the most underrated form of self-care there is.

The One Who Got Away (With All The Money)

You know that one person you can always count on for doing something important for you? Well now, imagine that this happened to you…

Also, you know who’s worse than this person in your life who stabs you in the back at the last second? You for giving away your own sister’s money to invest in your dream instead of hers… but hey, I know: Bobo’s the bad guy here, so let’s keep focusing on that.

The One-Man Mad Hatter

You know from the previous bookish tweets pieces how Shakespeare has all different kinds of love languages and tropes within his plays? Well, Edgar Allan Poe has different themes in his stories to choose from too…

If you really put your mind to it, you can get to be like him as well! But if a raven comes to your door and starts talking to you, I recommend calling for a psychiatrist – or a bird catcher…

Goodnight, Sweet (And Somewhat Stupid) Prince

No matter who you are, you have that one person in your life who’s just downright clueless…

Note to newly-deceased fathers: never trust your grown, living son to carry out a revenge plot on your traitorous brother without having him run his plan by you first!

The Fairest (And Foulest) Of Them All

Oh now, everyone can relate to this: there’s always that one person in your high school who just can’t help but stir up drama, no matter the costs…

She was the queen bee of all queen bees who ever lived, the one who though she was a goddess, could not survive without the drama amongst the other gods, costing thousands of mortal lives. Terrible for many? Absolutely. But for her, downright irresistible – or even, Eris-istible!

A Pounding Heartache

You know that noise you can’t seem to get out of your heart – I mean, head – no matter how hard you try to think of anything else to drive it out of your mind so you drive yourself out of your mind instead? Well, before it may get to that last point, just hope that it’s not this severe…

Thumpity, thump thump. Thumpity, thump thump. Look at that maniac go…

Thumpity, thump thump. Thumpity, thump thump. Through the floorboards below!

(I’m aware that this is the second “Tell-Tale Heart” tweet in this piece and that it may be too early to reference a winter holiday song two months early, but this piece does have a week and a half’s worth of tweets, and no matter how many complaints you hear from everybody you know, it’s about time you be like all the stores around town and break out the holiday goodies early!)

And now… all the extra tweet-treats I promised!

Bonus Tweet #1: One Is The Loneliest Number

In one way or another, we all want love, but sometimes, there are some out there who just can’t seem to find it…

Don’t take it too hard, Dr. Frankenstein: you know he wasn’t gonna get any action if he’s cooped up inside all the time – oh wait… that may be what we’re all feeling right now!

Bonus Tweet #2: Such A Way With Words…

Some people communicate better by talking, and some people communicate better in writing, and speaking as a proud introvert – who can appear extraverted on the surface once in a while – I can very much attest to the latter scenario. Now, take Edgar Allen Poe and his situation…

Oh come on, Poe: even I’m not that bad! So, at least you know that even the most brilliant minds in the history of literature had struggled with the right words to say from time to time…

Bonus Tweet #3: Before Vs. After: Shakespeare Edition

You want to know the simplest way to chronicle the events of a Shakespearean play? Then, look no further…

At least that’s the overall gist of a classic tragedy, no matter if it’s by Shakespeare or not…

That’s all, folks! Stay tuned two Fridays from now for the last tweets piece of the month!
