Bookish Tweets For The Date Of Double Eights And Twenties!

Happy August, bookish tweeters, new and old, all around! And yes, you read that title right: I’m releasing this fresh batch of bookish tweets not on the first Friday of the month, but on the day of the month of double digits of both eights and twenties – the latter of which could even be broken down into double twos and zeroes!

So, while we still have this sort of rare luck while it’s still fresh – along with our tweets – let’s get this show on the road…

It’s Not You, It’s Me

Have you ever gotten out of a relationship, after your significant other just dumps you without a single reason why? Well, here’s a take: maybe they did have a good reason but just couldn’t tell you… Maybe they had to leave without putting you in danger or seeing you heartbroken. Or they didn’t want to commit to anyone, so the best plan of action was to cut themselves loose…

Whatever the case, it would be best to start seeing other people – only now, you have to travel farther around the world to meet them all…

The Crowd Has Spoken

You know when you get a piece of advice from a loved one on going about getting something you really want, but you’re still on the fence about your next course of action? Maybe you need a second opinion…

Well, how about a whole crowd of opinions? Would that be encouraging enough for you to go out and get what you want?

And in case you want a written-out description of the video, SparkNotes has you covered…

Which Trope Are You?

You know when you and your friends are playing a game – be it Dungeons & Dragons, LARP, or any other game with an adventurous twist to it – and you all decide on which character tropes you are the most like? Whether the game calls for it or not, you might know just which one you may be…

Even if it’s not for a game you play, as long as you have your own clique that everyone knows you’re a part of, you will be remembered as that kind of person in the group. So, choose wisely!

Or maybe… it might choose you if you’re not too careful…

Parallels Upon Parallels…

The best way to make learning about great literature in history – mainly the classics – fun is to connect them to something you know everyone will enjoy…

It may be a long thread, but it was worth the ride, right?

A Rare Key For One or More Changed Locks

I’ll say it right now: it is hard to come up with a brand-new password, either for a new account or for an account you already use that now requires you to change the password you’re been using. Isn’t it very annoying? You simply can’t keep track of them all unless you have to use the same one (or few) for several accounts! I’m sure you can relate, especially in this very special case…

I mean, who even has that kind of power at their fingertips? And to do it all within only one attempt or else certain death? This special account better be well worth it!

Also, how is it that this is the tweet I used as the featured image for a day like today: with a date consisting of so many double digits! I seriously didn’t initially intend it, but I’m ever so glad it worked out this way…

It’s Not Fun To Pretend

If you remember from one of my previous pieces from the last week or so, I talked about the things that we are surely missing due to quarantining. Well, consider this a continuation of that thread. Here’s another thing you’re most likely missing right now…

I mean, you could still dress up as a beggar, have a feast, and have an archery contest, but without all those suitors there who pale in comparison to all your might, it’s just not the same!

Stop! In The Name Of Prayer

No matter what religion you are a part of, prayer is a sacred time to be both with yourself and with the one(s) you pray to, asking them for the strength and guidance you need in your life. You don’t want anyone to disturb you in the middle of this special time, do you?

Little do you know, this time may very well save your life, even when you may not deserve it, so savor this moment, because you won’t get a moment like this back…

And thus concludes this week’s bookish tweets piece! Thank you for joining me here on this very special, lucky day of double digits.

Good luck to you all, and remember…
