That Reminds Me is a book written in verse that tells the story of K from his childhood in foster care to adulthood. It explores identity, addiction, sexuality, violence, family, and religion. The book is slightly inspired by the author’s life, and while the details of the lives of the K are not the details of Owusu’s life, K has some similarities with him like being Ghanaian, being in foster care, and receiving a borderline personality disorder diagnosis.

This book was published by #Merky Books, an imprint within William Heinemann of Penguin Random House UK. #Merky Books is an imprint dedicated to publishing the best new fiction, non-fiction, and poetry and it is curated by the rapper Stormzy.
