‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Cast Reunion Announced For Next Week

2021 is already off to a great start, my fellow bookworms! The cast of Avatar: The Last Airbender is reuniting (virtually of course) next week! Honestly, if this is a cactus juice hallucination I don’t want to recover.

One of the most beloved and critically acclaimed shows of the 21st century soared to the new heights when the streaming giant, Netflix, acquired it in 2020. Not only did it produce a wave of new appreciation of the beloved cartoon amongst fans new and old, but this reunion is proof of our continual love for Avatar content. Let’s get into the details!

Even though it’s been over ten years since Avatar ended, the amazing storylines and fantastic plots made it a cult classic, making characters like Zuko, Toph, Aang, Katara and Sokka iconic. Many of the phenomenal voice actors behind our favorite actors are coming together for the reunion to discuss the show and it’s impact. Dante Basco, who voices Zako, tweeted about the reunion. The virtual event will run through StageIt on January 9, 2021, at 3:00 PM PST, and tickets are already on sale. The assembled group of actors includes Basco, Jack De Sena (Sokka), Cricket Leigh (Mai), Michaela Murphy (Toph, credited as Jessie Flower), Grey Griffin (Azula, credited as Grey DeLisle), and Olivia Hack (Ty Lee), with some additional guests yet to be announced. Don’t mind me I’m fangirling like I just met The Boulder.

It truly warms my heart to see Avatar’s impact continuing into 2021 and what better way to kick off the new year? Will you tune in for the reunion?
