Agatha Christie’s mysteries have always kept people on their toes. Dating back to the 1920s, her famed detective Hercule Poirot has made quite a name for himself in the twenty-five novels and most recent portrayal in 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express, he still has more to solve! Deadline reports Armie Hammer will be joining Gal Gadot for the remake of Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile!

Murder on the Orient Express grossed over 350 million worldwide for Fox studios and Director Kenneth Branagh and screenwriter Michael Green have returned. Production will begin mid- 2019 and the film is set to be released by December 20. 2019. It is still not clear what roles Armie Hammer and Gal Gadot will play, but Armie will be the male lead.
Agatha Christie published Death on the Nile three years after Murder on the Orient Express in the late 1930’s. Death on the Nile is about detective Hercule Poirot trip to Egypt for vacation that takes a deadly turn when he uncovers a murder stemming from a tricky love triangle. The book was adapted to film in 1978 and starred Bette Davis, Mia Farrow, Angela Lansbury just to name a few the film grossed about 14 million and won the award for Best Costume design in the 1979 Academy Awards.
