Jeopardy host Alex Trebek will release a memoir titled, “The Answer Is… Reflections of My Life,” to be released July 21, just a day before his 80th birthday. Ever since Covid-19 stalled production, Trebek has had a lot of time to write, even with stage IV pancreatic cancer, since thankfully, with treatment, he has been doing ok.
“I’m doing well. I’ve been continuing my treatment and it’s been paying off, though it does fatigue me a great deal,” Trebek said. “My numbers are good. I’m feeling great.”
Trebek never really wanted to write a book about his life, but he changed his mind after the outpouring of love and support after his diagnosis. “I want people to know a little more about the person they have been cheering on for the past year.”
The book contains anecdotes of a variety of subjects including marriage, success, philanthropy, and spirituality. He also addresses the most asked questions about himself, including what made him to decide to shave his mustache, his opinions on successful Jeopardy players, and his opinion on Will Ferrell’s impersonation.
Alex Trebek is a beloved figure of television, and if anyone wants to know more about him, this would be the perfect book.
