“I’ve been writing in the Grishaverse for nearly ten years now, so I’m thrilled we get to keep this adventure going,” Bardugo said in an interview with Variety. “There are so many places we’ve barely gotten to visit and I can’t wait to introduce our audience to more of the saints, soldiers, thugs, thieves, princes and privateers who make this world so much fun to explore. It’s going to be real magic to see our brilliant, talented cast expand.”

Pouya Shahbazian for Loom Studios, along with Shawn Levy, owner of 21 Laps Entertainment, are set to executive this second season!

After the cliff-hanger ending of the first ‘Shadow and Bone’ season, fans have been eagerly waiting for more. Since the news is still fresh, nothing about the plot of season 2 or the new characters that we’ll get to meet has been confirmed yet, but we do know it will be fantastic!

“We had so much fun at the moments when these two sets of characters could find ways to integrate,” Heisserer said. “I have a lot of fun theories about how we can make this happen organically again, without really disturbing too much of the separate storylines that they’re on.”

The show-runner also admitted to having already started “informal” work on season 2 before the official announcement, and that the first season’s ending was his way of daring Netflix not to renew the show.

Does this mean we’ll be getting our Nikolai and our Wylan?
