A writing club and storytelling salon for all women where women can come together to share wine, snacks and their writing. Abby Adesanya, a brand marketer for Conde Nast, is the founder and leader of Novella, a literary salon based in New York. It all started when Abby stumbled upon old composition books from her childhood, full of the worlds and characters she had created on the line of her notebook.
Their first meeting was in a corner of Housing Works, a bookstore located in Lower Manhattan, where they were nestled in along with over forty women to hear a writer recite her personal essay. Since then, Novella has established its own location where members are held up to three tenets: You must write, you must be willing to share, and you must be curious.

The salon sessions usually include a guest speaker and snacks, wine and socializing. The salons include small sharing circles and within those circles, the participants share their work and stories with one another. It offers them a place where they are uninterrupted as they discuss with and merely share their own experiences, personal essays and stories.
Novella is an amazing place for women and men to recite their work in a comfortable and secure place while discussing how they will build upon their work.
