If any of you remember the TV adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle, then you remember the creepy kid from The Ring who plays Charles Wallace. The Ring was one of those movies that messed me up so bad when I was a kid, that I had to sleep in my parent’s room. I hope you’ll understand my disdain for another Wrinkle in Time movie. The TV adaptation of L’Engle’s novel, in my eyes, did not help in any way to help me understand the book.

Space and time travel, mysterious beings; I remember reading A Wrinkle in Time in middle school and thinking, ‘what the heck is going on?’ But…never fear! Years later, A Wrinkle in Time is being adapted again. According to IMDB, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, and Oprah Winfrey are cast members with a release date in Spring 2018. Ava DuVernay who brought us Selma, is set to direct the film. I’m crossing my fingers it all works out this time.
