‘A Christmas Carol’ Streaming For Two Weeks

Although the Halloween season is just picking up steam, it’s never too soon to prepare for Christmas! With Disney Plus’ release of famous Broadway musical, Hamilton, for the fourth of July weekend, and their soon to come Hocus Pocus 2, seasonal streaming seems to be the way to helps fans to be happy, healthy and safe. Old Vic’s theater in London, England is no exception. They’re adapting their famous broadway production, A Christmas Carol, to stream for two weeks before Christmas (December 12th to 24th, 2020). There will be 80,0000 tickets available for this worldwide event.

Based on Charles Dickens’ legendary classic novel of the same name, Old Vic’s A Christmas Carol is written by Jack Thorn (playwright of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and directed by Matthew Warchus.

This year’s holiday season is sure to be different, as we factor in Covid-19 compromises, but companies and organizations are continuing to spread the good vibes (and cheer) through making otherwise expensive plays, musicals, operas, ballets, and the like, widely available to stream through various platforms. Catch one of sixteen performances of A Christmas Carol broadcast live from London’s Old Vic’s theater this winter.
