2015 Golden Globe Book-Adaptation Winners

The Golden Globe Awards took place last night and many book-adaptations took home awards. Awards for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy; Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama; and, Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama, were all taken by adapted films. Congratulations to all the winners! It’s just one more reason to read these exceptional books.

The Grand Budapest Hotel based on Beware of Pity and The Post-Office Girl by Stefan Zweig

We did not originally include Wes Anderson’s adaptation in our nominees list, but we should have. Thank you to our wonderful users for pointing out that The Grand Budapest Hotel is in fact an adaptation of Zweig’s novels. In an interview with The Telegraph, Anderson said: “The Grand Budapest Hotel has elements that were sort of stolen from both these books. Two characters in our story are vaguely meant to represent Zweig himself…”
